COURSE OBJECTIVES
The SimCenter International Procedures, Long Range Navigation, RVSM, ETOPS Specialty Curriculum objective is to familiarize, train, and assist Operators, Dispatchers and Flight Crewmembers in submitting application to obtain approval as well as the required information and training for operation in airspace where Letters of Approval are required such as RVSM, MNPS and ETOPS as per applicable regulation, both FAA and ICAO.

TYPE OF OPERATIONS
This course is intended to prepare Operators, Flight Crew and Dispatchers for Aircraft Operations in areas outside the 48 contiguous United States and / or in areas where Letters of Approval ( LOA ) are required by ICAO and or Federal Aviation Regulation. Completion of this curriculum and satisfactory results on the written examination satisfies the requirements of Pilot / Dispatcher Training as per FAR 91-703, 91-705, 91-706, Appendix C, Appendix G, AC 91-70 and AC 120-42A.

CURRICULUM PREREQUISITES
Operators, Pilots and Dispatchers intending to operate aircraft outside the 48 contiguous United States and / or where Letters of Approval are required by regulation.

CURRICULUM
The curriculum for compliance with relevant sections under 14 CFR §91-703, 91-705, 91-706, 91-Appendix C, 91- Appendix G, AC 91-70, AC 720-42A and ICAO Regulation consists of four parts: Aeronautical knowledge training in International Operations, Long Range Navigation, RVSM and ETOPS. Any one or all may be required by the Operator, Pilots or Dispatchers and so will taught inclusive or separately as per that requirement.

PROGRAMMED TRAINING HOURS
 

• International Operations: 8 hrs
• Long Range Navigation: 4 hrs
• RVSM: 8 hrs
• ETOPS: 4 hrs

TOTAL: 24 hrs

Requirements for reduction in Program Hours
A pilot or dispatcher may successfully complete the ground-training curriculum without completing the specified number of hours, if they are currently operating in areas and are familiar with Operations outside the U.S. and Long Range Navigation procedures.
